Kitchen Consigliere Cafe opens Tomorrow

Philly’s very own Kitchen Consigliere, Angelo Lutz presents The Kitchen Consigliere Café!

Come enjoy old Italian style dishes, known today as Italian comfort food, as executive chef Angelo Lutz preserves the heritage of real, authentic home-style cooking.

The Kitchen Consigliere Café is an informal BYOB Italian eatery where the emphasis is on the traditional home-style Italian cooking, often referred to as peasant dishes.

Influenced by the dishes he ate growing up, Angelo’s cooking style steams from teachings and recipes from his mother and grandmother.

With an atmosphere as informal as the changing food and menus, The Kitchen Consigliere Café is a cozy, quaint and not over-the-top eatery for the entire family.

And good food isn’t the only reason to eat at the café. The real adventure is meeting and talking with Angelo Lutz. At The Kitchen Consigliere Café you’ll come for the food, but stay for the conversation.

Introducing the Kitchen Consigliere Cafe

I’m excited to announce that The Kitchen Consigliere Cafe is almost ready for business! We’re putting the finishing touches on the interior, hanging photos and starting to stock the kitchen. Thanks to all of our fans that are calling asking for reservations. There will be a special night, TBD, to celebrate with you all!

Pasta and Lentils Webisode

During the filming of this webisode, we had a great time on set at the JNA Culinary Institute.

Watch for:

• Marnie studied up on Sonny before coming on set – check out her monologue while she’s adding the chicken broth.

• Another funny moment stems from how I’m always testing Marnie’s knowledge on the pasta we’re using. Before we started filming, Marnie went through the trash and found the packaging — all to get the name right. It’s Gemelli pasta. Gemilli is a short pasta with an s-shaped strand twisted into a spiral.

The Kitchen Consigliere & The Cake Boss

Had a great time visiting Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken N.J. on Saturday. The Bakery is absolutely “Second to None” and the staff is friendly and courteous. It was a real double treat because it was the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade. That town really knows how to party!!!

We’ve just posted the newest webisode of “Cooking with the Kitchen Consigliere”, hope everyone enjoys it. Do take time to try the recipe, the dish is “Second to None” I originally had my doubts when I first tasted it, however it was certainly worth the try.
